Bodegas Altolandon Mil Historias Bobal Manchuela DO, Spain, presents a vibrant Red (Rouge) still dry wine crafted from 100% Bobal grapes. This organic, vegan, vegetarian, and natural wine undergoes spontaneous fermentation and four months of ageing in third-use French oak barrels. It offers an intense aroma of ripe red fruits like cherries, blackberries, and blackcurrant, complemented by subtle violet and black pepper notes. The palate is powerful and juicy, showcasing vibrant fruit, freshness, and soft, ripe tannins, leading to a fascinating crunchy-fruit finish with excellent depth. A versatile choice, it pairs beautifully with richly flavoured meats, roasts, and mature cheeses.

Vinification
Harvested late, by hand and never before the 12th October into 12kg cases. The colour is extracted in 6000 litre inox tank. Skin contact for 2 to 3 weeks at a controlled temperature before an alcoholic fermentation which is spontaneous, with gentle pumping over for 5 weeks. Pressed directly to 3rd use, 225 Litre French oak barrels, where the malolactic fermentation takes place, also in a natural and spontaneous way for about 4 months. Stabilisation is also natural and during the coldest months, temperatures can go to minus 15° C.
Flavour profile
This Bobal offers an intense aromatic profile of ripe red fruits, complemented by subtle floral and peppery notes. On the palate, it delivers distinctive power and vibrant fruit, with a juicy, spicy character and a fascinating crunchy-fruit freshness, all balanced by soft, ripe tannins.
Serving recommendation
Serve at 16-18°C. Decant for 30 minutes to allow its vibrant fruit to shine.
