Carlos Lucas Vinhos Cota 700 Dão DOC, Portugal, is a vibrant Red still wine, off-dry and crafted from Touriga Nacional, Alfrocheiro, and Tinta-Roriz grapes. This vegan and vegetarian-friendly wine is made using stainless steel fermentation with gentle pumping for optimal extraction. It offers perfumes of black mulberry and blackberries with a light nuance of pine needles. The palate is very fresh, young, sweet yet elegant, making it a delightful experience. It pairs wonderfully with traditional Portuguese cuisine, including duck rice, oven-baked cod, cured sausages, grilled chicken, and pasta.

Vinification
The grapes were completely destemmed to small stainless steel tanks, where they macerated for 24h at a low temperature, before starting the fermentation with selected yeast. The fermentation lasted for 12 days with gentle pumping for good extraction of colour and aromas. After the fermentation, the wine was kept in stainless steel vats until release.

This fresh and young Red wine offers delightful aromas of black mulberry and blackberries, complemented by a subtle hint of pine needles. On the palate, it presents a sweet yet elegant profile, making for a very approachable and enjoyable experience.

Serve at 14-16°C. Best enjoyed young; decanting not essential.
