Fragas do Lecer Fraga do Corvo Monterrei DO, Galicia, Spain, is a vibrant Red, Still, Dry wine crafted from 100% Mencía grapes. This abundantly fruited and joyful wine offers powerful aromatics and great delicacy, revealing a complex profile of blackberries, black cherries, and plum, complemented by hints of tobacco, herbs, and floral notes. The wine undergoes fermentation in 500-litre French barrels, followed by malolactic fermentation and 6 months of static ageing in stainless steel and fine-grain French oak. Its versatile character makes it an excellent match for grilled meats, slow-cooked stews, pasta, risotto, and hard cheeses.

Vinification
The 100% Mencía grapes are hand-destemmed and cold macerated for 2 weeks. After decanting, the wine is fermented in 500-litre French barrels, followed by malolactic fermentation. Static ageing in stainless steel and partly in fine-grain French oak barrels for 6 months, followed by bottle ageing until reaching optimal maturity.
