Lo & Behold Shiraz-Mourvèdre-Carignan from Piekenierskloof, South Africa, is a vibrant Red (still) wine, crafted in a dry style. This vegan and vegetarian-friendly blend features Shiraz (Syrah), Mourvèdre, Carignan, and Cinsault grapes. Each variety is vinified separately, with Shiraz undergoing 6 months of French oak ageing during malolactic fermentation, while all varieties are fermented and aged in stainless steel before blending. The wine offers fresh, ripe fruit aromas with a hint of white pepper. On the palate, Mourvèdre contributes a dark, rich fruit core, beautifully complemented by the fragrant Carignan and the lively red fruit vibrancy of Cinsault. It pairs wonderfully with pizza, Mediterranean pastas, and lamb stew.

Vinification
Each variety is vinified separately. Shiraz aged with French oak during the malolactic fermentation for 6 months. All varieties fermented and aged in stainless steel for 6 months before being blended.

This red blend offers fresh, ripe fruit aromas with a hint of white pepper. On the palate, it delivers a dark, rich fruit core from Mourvèdre, complemented by the fragrance of Carignan and the vibrant red fruit notes of Cinsault.
Serving recommendation
Serve at 16-18°C. Decant for 30 minutes to allow its rich fruit and spice aromas to unfold.
