Maçanita Vinhos Douro Tinto Douro DOP, Portugal, is a bold yet refined still red wine, dry in style. Crafted from Touriga Nacional, Old Vine Field Blend, and Sousão grapes, it is fermented with native yeasts in stainless steel, with a portion matured in used French oak for 9-12 months. This vegan and vegetarian-friendly wine brims with aromas of black cherry, wild herbs, and crushed violets, underpinned by graphite, cocoa, and liquorice. The palate is structured and fresh, offering juicy dark fruit and fine tannins, leading to an elegant, mineral-driven finish. Vinification
Hand-harvested grapes are sorted and fermented with native yeasts in stainless steel. A portion of the wine is matured in used French oak barrels for 9-12 months, adding polish and complexity while keeping the fruit expression at the fore.
