Mount Edward Ted Pinot Noir, Central Otago, New Zealand, is a dry red still wine crafted from Pinot Noir grapes. Vinified in open fermenters with natural yeasts and 11 months in French oak (20% new), it offers aromas of dark berry fruits, spice, and thyme, leading to a sinewy palate of bright fruit with a delicate herbal thread. This organic (certified in vineyard and winery), vegan, and vegetarian-friendly wine reflects its unique Central Otago terroir. A versatile choice, it pairs beautifully with smokey pork loin or barbecued salmon.

Vinification

Vinified using open fermenters, hand plunging, natural yeasts, and 11 months in French oak – 20% new - before racking and settling in tank for a further 3 months. Fermentation was carried out using de-stemmed fruit.

This Pinot Noir offers inviting aromas of dark berry fruits, spice, savoury tones, and thyme. The palate is sinewy and bright with vibrant fruit flavours complemented by a delicate herbal thread throughout.

Serving recommendation

Serve at 14-16°C. Decant for 30 mins to enhance aromatic complexity.
