Raats Family Wines Original Chenin Blanc from Polkadraai Hills, South Africa, is a vibrant dry white still wine crafted from 100% Chenin Blanc grapes. Fermented and aged on lees in stainless steel for six months, it offers a distinctive core of yellow apple and pineapple, complemented by notes of green melon and zesty lime. This clean, satisfying wine bursts with fresh fruit flavours and a long mineral finish. It is a versatile choice, pairing beautifully with spicy dishes like curry, as well as sushi and oysters. This wine is vegan and vegetarian-friendly.

Vinification
Grapes grown from the two soil types are fermented separately, the decomposed granite bringing a lime and mineral character, while the sandstone more topical fruit and structure. The juice was cold settled for 2 to 3 days, then cold fermented (14° - 16°C) in stainless steel tanks and aged on the lees for 6 months before bottling. No wood ageing.
