Sherwood Estate Sherwood Pinot Noir from Waipara, New Zealand, is a delightful Red still dry wine crafted from Pinot Noir grapes. It undergoes 4-tonne open top ferments with 5 days pre-ferment maceration, indigenous fermentation, and 21-28 days skin contact, followed by 11 months ageing in French oak. The nose reveals rich plum and earthy tones with a hint of toasty oak. The palate offers a lovely sweet entry, building with ripe, silky fruit and integrated oak tannins. This vegetarian-friendly wine is a perfect accompaniment to spring lamb, poultry, or mushroom dishes.

Vinification
4 tonne open top ferments, 5 day pre-ferment maceration followed by an indigenous ferment, hand plunged 1 to 2 times per day, 21 – 28 days skin contact, lightly pressed to barre for aging prior to blending and bottling.
