Georges Descombes, a pillar of Beaujolais, allows the granite terroir to shine through in this Gamay, which also sees some oak ageing. It boasts a bracing acidity as its backbone, with serious depth of redcurrant and blackcurrant fruit, a very light tannic grip, and notes of garrigue, bramble, and an earthy touch.
