Piekenierskloof Cinsault from Piekenierskloof, South Africa, is an elegant, still, dry red wine crafted from 100% Cinsault grapes. The grapes are handpicked from unirrigated bush vines planted in 1976. After cold-soaking, fermentation occurs under controlled temperatures. Half of the wine matures for 12 months in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th fill 500L French oak barrels, with the remainder in a larger foudre, contributing to its character. It presents abundant red berries and ripe cherries on the nose, with a subtle hint of black spice. The palate is supple and well-balanced, showcasing fine tannins and enticing complexity. This versatile wine pairs perfectly with Mediterranean dishes, sushi, pizza, pasta, and chicken. This wine is vegan and vegetarian friendly.

Vinification
Grapes are handpicked and cold-soaked for 24 hours. Fermentation is initiated with selected yeast strains and is kept under 24°C. Malolactic fermentation is completed in tank, 50% of the wine is matured for 12 months, 2nd, 3rd and 4th fill in 500L French oak barrels and the rest in a larger foudre.
